Bookings: Full payment for all bookings is required at the time of booking. Bookings/reservations are not confirmed until either payment has been made in full or until valid Visa or MasterCard details have been supplied at the time of booking.
Feline feeding: CATitude will follow your instructions on your cat’s feeding routine, dietary needs and requirements as determined at the initial consultation and any periodical updates made by you for CATitude to meet your cat’s ongoing needs. You must ensure provision of adequate cat food supplies to cover the duration of the CATitude in-home service period.
Keys: Keys are normally supplied to CATitude at the initial consultation as per the CATitude Key Management Agreement. By prior arrangement, your keys can be left in an agreed place in your home at the completion of the CATitude in-home service period. Key return at the last in-home service visit is free and without charge.
Key management service: CATitude offers the convenience of securely retaining your keys for future in-home cat care visits. Your keys are retained by CATitude in a secure safe with keys identified by colour code and number. Your keys are never identified by name and/or address. This safe and secure key management system avoids payment of a key pick up & key return fee and ensures a seamless service especially when CATitude in-home cat care is required at short notice.
Key Pick-up & Key Return: CATitude offers a key pick up or key return service for an additional fee of $20.
Alarms: You need to have informed your security company that you have booked scheduled in-home visits by CATitude in your home while you are away. CATitude’s use of your security system will be discussed at the initial consultation. Any costs associated with alarm activation such as guard despatch will be borne by you.
Feline behaviour: In circumstances where your cat is timid, aggressive or prefers no interaction with the CATitude carer, CATitude will not approach and will maintain distance from your cat so as to minimise any stress to your cat and avoid risk to the CATitude carer. CATitude will leave food and fresh water for your cat and the kitty litter tray will be cleaned, deodorised and replenished with fresh kitty litter.
Feline health: If your cat is ailing due to old age or convalescing from sickness, CATitude will tailor a package to meet your requirements for a feeding regime and more intensive care of your cat.
Medication: CATitude must be advised and provided with instructions for your cat’s needs and requirements in relation to medication and CATitude supplied with all the medications to be administered to your cat.
Taxi service: To minimise travel trauma for your cat(s), the CATitude taxi service is available for the carriage of cats only.
Vaccinations: It is recommended that your cat have current F3 vaccinations.
Veterinary care: You must inform CATitude in circumstances where prior to your scheduled CATitude in-home visit taking place, your cat becomes unwell, is injured, suffers loss of appetite, or requires veterinary attention. CATitude does not diagnose or provide medical advice or therapy for your cat – nor does CATitude offer veterinary treatment or services for your cat. If your cat is in failing health or requires more intensive cat care, boarding your cat at your vet clinic for 24 hour care is your recommended course of action in these circumstances.
Emergency care: In the case of an emergency where your cat under CATitude’s care becomes ill and requires treatment by a veterinarian during a booked CATitude in-home visit, CATitude will take your cat to the veterinary clinic you have nominated in the Veterinary Release form you signed at the initial CATitude consultation. You or your contact listed on your emergency contact form will be notified immediately.
Fish feeding service is available for ‘dry flake’ type food for basic goldfish or tropical fish in a basic bowl or aquarium. Multiple aquariums or saltwater tanks or more complicated feeding or care regimes may incur a fee or revised fee. CATitude will your discuss requirements at the initial consultation.
Bird feeding service is available for small ‘domestic’ type birds such as a budgerigar, cockatiel or canary with basic seed food requirements. A revised fee applies to multiple cages, aviaries or more complicated feeding or care. You can discuss your requirements with CATitude at the initial consultation.
Indoor pot plant watering service is available for up to 15 indoor plants. A revised fee for more than 15 indoor or garden plants, or where a sophisticated watering schedule is required, will be agreed at the initial consultation.
Cancellations/Early return: Where cancellations are notified to CATitude with less than 12 hours notice, CATitude has the discretion to charge up to 10% of the entire service period total to cover CATitude’s administration costs. (‘Notice’ period is deemed to be up to noon the day prior to the day of in-home service).
There are no cancellation penalties should you return home earlier than scheduled. However, if you fail to advise CATitude of your early return and a service call is made to your house, the in-home visit fee will apply.
Christmas Day and Public Holidays attract a $10 surcharge per in-home service visit.
